New Roommate

Time to update, and whew, has a lot been going on!

Saturday I blogged about my beach day with the girls. Well, after I got home from dropping Reggie off at her place and took a shower, I got a text from Izzy, asking if I could pick him up from his work. I told him "Yeah" and picked him up. On our way home, though, he was telling me how he didn't have a place to stay and was probably going to play guitar until four in the morning in Temecula. Hearing this, I quickly made my mind up to call Mom and ask if he can crash at our place. Mom agreed, and that's how this all began.

What's "this," you ask? Izzy's going to be staying with us for now. He is renting a room. Since that night, he has been sleeping over, so Mom and I discussed it and agreed that he could rent with us temporarily. I do not know how long "temporary" is at this moment; it all depends on if we keep the house or not. He understands our situation or, at least, I explained it to him. In addition to his staying with us, Cory and his dad dropped off their 150-year-old upright grand player piano on Sunday. It is made of mahogany wood, ebony and ivory keys, and velvet fabric in some of the decoration. Of course, being so old and long disused, it needs some fixing and tuning. There are several strings that need replacing. As for tuning, I may know someone who can help me with that. First, though, I need to find a permanent spot for it in the house because, at the moment, it is sitting in the piano on a cart.

So, all in all, I have been super busy with moving furniture around (I finally brought my bed down from the third floor to the second floor . . . Izzy will be using it since I do not), breaking down furniture to get rid of, dropping off items we do not need, cleaning (and I mean MAJOR cleaning), and running errands. I have also been given more hours at work since three people quit. That is a plus - more money! -, but it also means I have less time to get things done at the house. Oh well, I just have to do my best!

Now you know why I have missed three days of blogging. Until next time, toodles!
